Railway Transportation Division is committed to developing the technologies for railway operation planning and safety management, including train stop planning, train service planning, train timetabling, train utilization planning, crew scheduling & rostering, train performance & energy consumption simulation, risk analysis, and safety management. We provide integrated technical services for railway feasibility study, planning, risk analysis, and safety management system.

Our mission is to develop technologies for seismic safety protection and multi-hazard life-cycle risk management of structures. We provide research development and services for the performance-based seismic design technology, post-earthquake loss assessment, durability evaluation, seismic performance assessment and retrofit, health monitoring and performance diagnosis, developing of seismic protection devices, structural health management and early warning system, seismic assessment for equipment, ambient vibration control and simulation technologies.

Our hydraulic analysis model and related software are developed using computation fluid dynamics and computation hydraulics technologies. Currently, the focus is on developing multi-purpose 2-D surface water analysis and simulation software (SEC-HY21), We providing high-accuracy surface water analysis and simulation and technical consultation. The applicable areas include: the prediction of flow, pollutant and sediment transport processes in river, estuarine, and simulation and analysis of tsunami, storm surges, dam/dike-break flood and debris flow, etc.

We strive to develop geographic information systems, knowledge management information systems, and IT related technologies, integrating including Web GIS, Mobile GIS, 3DGIS, GPS, data warehouse, CAD, and document management system, etc. We provide research, planning, and development for engineering related information system solutions for electronic administration, designing automation, industrial park management, pipeline management, geographic information system, knowledge management system, information warehousing system, on-site survey, etc.

We focus on the application of data science to assist public transport supervisors or operators to gain insights into various operational issues and combining system simulation, information technology, and optimization theory to provide improvement and refinement solutions, including big data analysis, railway booking system development, rail capacity analysis software, and other applications on transportation.
