About the Center

SINOTECH (Sinotech Engineering Consultants, Inc.)
has been operating in Taiwan (R.O.C.) since 1970.
Its services have been pivotal in both the conceptualization and realization of
dams, tunnels, underground caverns, slopes, foundations and other infrasturctures domestically and overseas.
To keep up with the latest developments in geotechnical engineering technology,
SINOTECH maintains an active Geo-technical Research Center (GRC) in 1980. GRC is committed to the tasks of
research and development in geotechnical engineering, and to upgrading its capabilities for engineering studies and geo-mechanical testing.
The GRC was renamed as Geo-technical Research Engineering Center (GERC) in 1998 to meet the booming
technical service demands.
GERC is Located in the east district of Taipei city center just nearby the Famous Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. It is equipped with sophisticated laboratory and in-situ testing apparatus and plenty of geotechnical analytical softwares, and is staffed with more than 40 well trained and experienced engineers. The staff engineers are subdivided as five groups namely the (1) Rock Eng. Group (2) Hydro-Geology Group (3) Geotechnical Analysis Group (4) Geo-Hazards Group (5) Geotechnical Testing Group. GERC colleagues conduct services including site characterization for geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology investigation, geo-hazard zonation, advanced numerical analysis, and soil / rock testing. The center is ready to provide you services related to all kinds of geotechnical tasks. |
